Due to overwhelming attendee registrations, we are moving the location of our workshop to 495 Hodson Hall, next to Alderman Hall .
The best entrance is off of Buford Circle by the UMN Water Tower (not at the address for Hodson Hall--it puts you at the back of the building and there's no parking).
The room is accessible via stairs and via elevator:
- Stairs - 2nd door on the left once you get out of the stairway.
- Elevator - down the hall and on the left once you get off the elevator.
Limited paid parking is available right by the building in S106 and the Gortner ramp is an option but is a bit of a walk. On street parking is available on Cleveland Ave and there is limited meter parking next to the gym.
Ingrid Schneider, Ph.D, Department of Forestry Resources from the University of Minnesota, recently completed a research project to help MnDOT understand how Minnesota city and county agencies could use social media as a tool to increase public engagement. They learned that while Minnesotans use social media in ways that mirror national use, some populations would be missed if agencies relied solely on social media to connect with constituents.
Come learn how to make your social media efforts an effective multipronged, dynamic approach to public engagement that is cognizant of community differences and needs
