New this year, the event will begin with a keynote speaker featuring last year's Scott Pengelly Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Janine Hill.
Hill, who leads all communication efforts for the City of Bloomington, has a storied career in government communications. From communicating sales tax initiatives, to leading her community through the COVID-19 pandemic, to taking on the City's lead communications role during Super Bowl 52, Hill has paved the way for effective government communications.
Following the keynote, Hill will announce this year's Special Achievement Awards, which will be followed by the traditional Northern Lights Award Ceremony.
