WMCC September: Dos and Don'ts of Changing Your Brand
Your brand is your promise to the customer, says Entrepreneur magazine. Making a change is more than brainstorming a new logo or tagline. Hear stories and reflections from two WMCC colleagues who have been through this process – and lived to talk about it. This session kicks off WMCC’s 2017-18 program year which will focus on effective ways to promote your organization’s brand. Please note WMCC's new meeting location below.
Meet the presenters:
Mary Tan, City of Brooklyn Park
Mary has served as communicator for the City of Brooklyn Park since 2007 and previously worked at multiple TV stations across the country. Mary is past president of the Asian American Journalists Association, member of the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Community Advisory Board, vice president of the University of Minnesota School of Journalism and Mass Communications Alumni Board and member of the City of Buffalo’s Community Center Board. She guest hosts and reports for “Life to the Max,” a national TV show about people who live life to the fullest despite challenges.
Deb Sakry Lande, Interfaith Outreach
Deb is an energy shifter, storyteller, author and communications strategist. In her role at Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners, she works closely with volunteers, donors and staff to rebrand the organization.
