Nominations for the 2011 Communicator of the Year are now being accepted. Nominations must be postmarked or submitted via email by April 6, 2012.

The 2010 Communicator of the Year Award went to Tom Conroy, formerly with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

Northern Lights Contest

MAGC sponsors the Northern Lights Contest annually to recognize outstanding work in government communications.

In addition to rewarding exemplary work in the public sector, the Northern Lights Awards Program provides valuable feedback from qualified judges who are communications professionals.

Eligibility
The Northern Lights competition is open to communicators in the public sector (including federal, state, regional, and local government agencies, non-profit agencies and school districts) and to producers in the private sector who have completed work for Minnesota non-profit or government communicators.

In addition to rewarding exemplary work in the public sector, the Northern Lights Awards Program provides valuable feedback from qualified judges who are communications professionals.
